Top 3 picks for scary-fun 9 & 11 year-olds

  1. Beware the Dark Realm (Saugus, Fri/Sat Oct 30–31, 7–10pm) — the classic real-scary walk-through with live actors, 56th year. Free; the $10 front-of-line donation ticket is worth it on Halloween night.
  2. Halloween-night crawl near home (Oct 31) — Bar Harbor Scares (ask them to dial it up, 7–9pm) → Killgore Haunt (live actors, 6–10pm) → Burroughs Place Cemetery. All free and within ~4 miles. Tick them below and hit “Open route”.
  3. Pumpkin Jack's Haunted House (Oct 31) — the no-scare hour (6–7pm) is a warm-up, then scare actors from 7:30pm. Cuestport Haunt is a gentler backup.
